Legislative Committee

The Coalition of Local Health Officials’ Legislative Committee serves as a standing committee to provide direction for monitoring state and federal legislation that affects public health in Oregon.

The committee is responsible for:

  • Developing and approving the legislative platform and the annual and federal priorities
  • Recommending the legislative platform and other policy positions to the CLHO Executive Committee and the full membership
  • Determining and guiding legislative strategies
  • Monitoring policy positions during the legislative session
  • Developing Fact Sheets for key legislative issues
